Liturgy Committee
The main objective of the Liturgy Committee, a team of nine parishioners, is to prepare for the weekly and seasonal community celebration of the paschal mystery. The Committee encourages the full and active participation of all as we move through the seasons and feasts of Church life.
Eucharistic Ministers | (Schedule unavailable) |
The Eucharistic Ministers are servants of the Lord’s Table, and assist the priest in sharing the body and blood of Christ with their brothers and sisters at Mass. Eucharistic Ministers also take communion to the members of the parish family who are sick at home or in the hospital. Members of the Hospital Committee take turns visiting and bringing Holy Communion to Catholics at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Worship services are celebrated at the Nova Scotia Hospital on a regular basis. Volunteers facilitate this worship service in music, lectors, Eucharistic Ministers and act as leaders in both prayer and reflection on the Scriptures
Lectors
The goal of the reader (or Lector) is to proclaim the Word of God during daily and weekly masses. The lector then enables the liturgy of the word to become a dialogue between God and the assembled community. Both spiritual and technical preparation is important for the lector to proclaim with feeling, the Word of God. New lectors are always welcome and are provided with training Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist

Music Ministry
Choirs – The Music Ministry prepares and leads the assembly in song at our liturgical celebrations. In song, we give praise and glory to God. Music has the ability to form the community and therefore, has been a vital part of the Christian Church over the centuries. Thirty two volunteers invite the participants to sing in one voice communicating with, and praising God through song. Each Mass has its’ own Music Ministry to serve and enhance the beauty of the Sacrament of the Eucharist. As well, this service is also provided for weddings and funerals, as needed.
