Society of St. Vincent de Paul
|
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international Catholic lay organization, founded in 1833 by Frederic Ozanam. “Vincentians” make the gift of their services selflessly; serving the needs of the poor, the needy and the handicapped. At St Clement’s, the conference of St. Vincent de Paul provides food to needy families and supports other organizations such as F.O.O.D. and FEED Nova Scotia, through donations and volunteer time. “I assure you, as often as you did it for any one of my least brothers, you did it for me.” (Gospel of St Matthew, Chapter 25, verse 40)
